Big League Stew - MLB

After showing us the super-motivating Lance Armstrong commercial roughly 10K times over the past week, Nike and Livestrong are rolling out new commercials from cancer survivors, including this one from Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester(notes). Red Sox Monster originally had this commercial, as well as the news that Lester might wear a yellow mitt during July to help bring attention to the Livestrong cause. That'd earn a A+ from Fashion Ump, no doubt.

Must be a Yanks fan, Max.
I'm glad, Juice Armstrong doesn't deserve support the way non-juicing Jon Lester does. That kid is the real deal.

Is that "Jon Lester pitches a no hitter" clip from an actual announcer? If it is, that guy sounds like Bill Walton, but is somehow more obnoxious.

Poor guy is pitching tonight and he's pitched into the 8th and the Sox have no runs on the board...

John had a shaky start, is now is pitching as good, as any pitcher in baseball. He has returned to his form of last year, only better. This kid has fully recoved from his bout with Cancer. He is very strong, and proves it by pitching every game into the late innings, and his speed stays in the mid 90s, throughout. He is easy to work with, never is in the newspapers for getting arrested, and the Sox are lucky to have him. A managers dream.

this young man is someone you hope your children would want to follow . I have never heard anyone badmouth the man and he appears to have it in the correct order . His father and mother must be absolutly proud of how John has grown and his manager loves him . Great to read about a athlete not in trouble and has game .
