This doesn't sound like the fun-loving Tim Lincecum(notes) we've all come to know and love.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, the San Francisco Giants star pitcher is being sued by a landlord in the city's Mission neighborhood after allegedly leaving the place less than clean.
From the Mercury News:
In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in San Francisco Superior Court, landlord Mindy Freile alleged that shortly after Lincecum's lease expired at 141 Hampshire St., the star pitcher illegally returned to living in the apartment and "broke, stained, defaced, tore, injured or destroyed" her property.
Lincecum's Los Angeles-based agent Rick Thurman called it an "unwarranted lawsuit," adding "I'm not going to dignify it with a response."
Though the landlord says there was $200,000 worth of damages, the suit actually seeks $350,000. So is this a money grab taking advantage of Lincecum's position as his lawyer implies? Or did he and his friends like that rabble rouser Landon Donovan get a bit rowdy during his treasured games of FIFA?
I don't think we can answer either question until we find out what happened to this guy.
