Pity the poor marketing soul who was put in charge of getting Jonathan Papelbon to record this public service announcement in Spanish. Couldn't they have gotten David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez instead?
At least Papelbon gives it his best despite a limited knowledge of the language. Reminds me of the college friend who dropped Spanish I because it was a five-day a week class. The problem wasn't so much with the frequency as much as the fact he didn't own five different shirts and wanted to avoid doing laundry as much as possible. Come to think of it, he also liked clog dancing.
(BLS head nod goes to Cape Cod Online for the footage)
