Good news: If Sam Zell really ends up selling the naming rights to Wrigley Field, at least there would be an easy Internet workaround. Over at Newsburglar, you can find a nifty Firefox script that will read the text on a web page and replace the new names of stadiums with the originals.
For example, White Sox fans could enjoy their surfing time reading about the team's play at U.S. Cellular Field Comiskey Park, A's fans could read about Billy Beane's maneuvers at McAfee Coliseum Oakland Coliseum and Pirates fans can even remember what it's like to read about their lineup's poor play at PNC Park Three Rivers Stadium.
The script works for all sports, not just baseball, and even if it's a new park, the script provides an alternative (ie: "Diamondback Field" instead of "Chase Field.") Plus, if you have a little bit of computer know-how, you can get real nostalgic and change AT&T Park to either "SBC" or "Pac Bell." Really, the choice is up to you.
As an added bonus, all references to "Roger Clemens" or "Barry Bonds" will have an asterisk added onto the end of their last names. Guess the script writer has a few opinions on both.
Anyway, to use this program, you need the "Greasemonkey" extension for Firefox. The script has a few misspellings and silly replacement names (Comisky? Astro's Turf?), so if you are actually peeved enough to install this in your browser, you might want to do some under-the-hood code editing.
(Which, by the way, I have no idea how to do. Please refrain from e-mailing me if your computer explodes.)

the script is easy to edit. once you've installed it, right click on the the greasemonkey icon in the lower right hand corner of your browser and click "manage scripts" click on stadiumnamer and then click edit. open the script in microsoft notepad. edit any part of the script that looks like this, or add your own:
s = s.replace( /\bmonster park\b/gi, "candlestick park");
monster park is the input, candlestick park is what comes out. its just an if/then thing.
