I was just talking about this today while mourning the loss of John Smoltz, but when Dale Murphy was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies that was devastating to me as a young fan who grew up watching him.

Boggs in a Rays jersey is bad, but in pinstripes is even worse. Same for Doc and Daryl.

for me...it'll always be seeing longtime Blue Jay Jesse Barfield in a Yankees uniform... and a close second 'The Shaker' Lloyd Moseby in that hideous Tigers uni in 90-91...
ps the rocket did win 2 cy-youngs b2b with the jays and pretty much revived his career in toronto...

Way back machine here, but Duke Snider in a Giants uniform and Juan Marichal in a Dodgers uniform. Those are both just wrong if you are a Dodgers or Giants fan.

It was VERY painful to see The GREAT Willie Mays in a Mets uniform.At that point in his career,he could hardly throw the ball back from the outfield.After his collision in the outfield at Candlestick Park with Bobby Bonds,he was never the same.

I would think in order to be upset about the player wearing another jersey they would at least need to be decent in the first place. So how could anyone get upset about Mike Stanton leaving their team...he sucked! I was more than glad to see him put on a Boston uni and leave ATL.
