I am a HUGE Angels fan. I am originally from Anaheim, CA and I for one know that Vlad will do his best each time he comes to the plate to bat. It isn't just about him or any one single baseball player on any team in the postseason. It's about the team playing well together. The teams win as a team and lose as a team. Each player will do his best to support his team. That's all any skipper, owner, or fan can ask for. Get off Vlad's back and let him play the game he loves.

He has a chance to go to his first World Series after being a dominating player with time in both leagues for over a decade. He came back strong from D/L down time late in the year so he's rearing to go without any physical issues and was productive in the 1st round against Boston. .

Vlad is toast, just like Veritek and Lowell from Boaton. He still gets a hit once in a while but he's not the feared guy he was in the past.

To Brian V. What the is the Yankees payroll, $231 mil. , Angels is $ 130 mil. Year after year The Yankees spend the most and what do they have to show for it lately.......NOTHING, I don't know why you yankee fans are so arogant for NOTHING, go ahead and think the Angels don't stand a chance, just like in 2002, our last Championship. I think given the track record of the Yankees against the Angels it just might be a sweep, Just like before the All- Star break, Oh that's right , they got lucky again. Prediction : Angels over the Dodgers in 6

Hey Brian V your an idoit to say if angels win it will be by sure luck, they did not get to the playoffs by luck. In fact they are better than the yankees, everybody rememeber this angels have better pitching and hitting than the yankees. Talk about luck yankees were lucky to bet the twins.

I want the Yankees to win, but a LA-Anaheim world series would be awesome. Btw the Phillies arent getting the credit they deserve AT ALL.

I'm well aware of the East Coast Arrogance and the East Coast Bias of ESPN, Fox and the rest of sports media. The Yankees are quite the storied franchise with the most world championships. There's no denying that. There's also no denying what the Angels have done to the Yankees starting with the Joe Torre era and with their current manager, Joe Girardi. Thanks "bpres1". The truth speaks for itself. East Coast fans, prepare for a bitter desert of humble pie. Go Angels!

What is up with Brian V and the Disneyland references? It has been years since the Angels have been owned by Disney, just about as long as it has been since the Yankees have gone to the World Series. Give it up.

Lol....the Angels are "el stinko" I love that!! How old are you Bryan? The Yankees are over-rated. Though I do not like them, I would like to see them beat the Angels. If the Dodgers beat the Phillies (and I do give them credit, they are a great team), I would LOVE to see a Dodgers/Yankees world series. I love my Dodgers. I love Manny and I love Martin, but given the history, tomorrow's game is giving me anxiety already. Dodgers and Yankees series......a heart attack for sure. Go LA Dodgers. Yes, I'm from the West Coast.

Hey rebeca, stop taking cheap shots at the Angels and look at the only team in baseball over the last 5 or 6 years the have a winning record against beloved Yanks. And if you look at the last 2 years in the interleague play, the Dodgers have gotten the crap beaten out of them by the Angels so go back to doing your nails and every now and again, read the box scores.

Well heck "Reno", if I went by scores we can say that the Dodgers have gotten the crap beaten out of by almost every team. I love them but I'm not blind. I was 13 when they won their last world series. But I'm not talking scores. I'm talking "my team has made it this far and I'm gonna take cheap shots at the Yankees, Angels, Phillies, Cards and who ever I can until the fat lady sings" kinda talking. After all, is that not what a true fan does? And yes, I do my nails. One does not have to have a penis to enjoy a good ball game. So get over it.

I like Vladi, but he's done after his contract is up. Duk is making way too about Vlad's importance. The Angels did the best this season when both Vlad and Torii were out of the lineup. Period. Listen up Arte Moreno, after all is said and done, the biggest mistake the Angels made this season will prove to be Tony Regans failing to trade Erick Aybar for Roy Halladay. The Angels needed an "Ace" and failed to make it happen because of Regan's failure. The Angel's could have made due with Izturis at short ( not to mention his excellent plate discipline ), and Howie at 2nd. Aybar is way better than Kendrick and a little better than Izturis, but what Roy Halladay could have brought to the Angels in terms of an "Ace" can't be compaired. Halladay will end up playing next year with Colorado, or NYY, or Boston, but not with the Angels because of the Angel's failing to pull the trigger. Phillies are going to sweep the Angels. Bummer.

A lot of smack is being spoken of how the Angels have the Yankees number, not this year. We got rid of Bobby abreu for a reason and you Angel fans will see why in the ALCS. The Angels have small ball stealing, hit n run etc. The Yanks can put your lights out with any man 1-9 and steal etc. Rally monkey and all the Angels are already history in NY!!!

Regarding Vlad and can the Angels count on him, he just needs to try to not do too much. If the Yankees don't throw him strikes then just walk. The main reason the Angels won game two of the ALDS was Vlad led the 7th off with a walk. Howie Kendrick pinch ran for him and scored the go ahead run. I heard Vlad realizes he needs to start swinging at good pitches and stay away from junk. If he does that he can help the Angels win. Don't hack at garbage should be what Vlad says while batting. A patient Vlad will be a good Vlad. If they throw the ball down the middle though smash it.

HMMM....Overrated, they always get picked to win it all and they never do...Ain't gonna happen this year, or next year, or the following year...Just because the yankees have pretty much future hall of famers on the team, don't mean crap.
