Lincecum better be able to pitch everyother day. If the San Fan Fairies thought they didn't have any offense last year wait until Timmy get his pay increase ($23 mil). There won't be any money for offense. 2010 NL West finish - last place. LOL
But you have the 2 time CY Young winner and a [profane]ty team....nice....LOL
Go Cards and use the extra money to sign Holliday!!!!!!

he'll table 23, they counter 15, settle on 18. still a huge amount.
they should just lock him up long term to whatever possible rather than risk losing him next year

If the Giants are willing to hand out 7 years 126 million to Zito they better be willing to break the bank for an actual talented pitcher like Timmy. Kind of a tangent here but the more and more I think about how much the Giants gave Zito it just seems nuts. The year before he signed he had 3.83 era, 1.40 WHIP, 99 walks, gave up 211 hits in 221 innings and gave up 27 homeruns. Wasn't anybody in the front office concerned that maybe a guy with a 88 mph fastball that struggles with command might have some trouble down the line?
