Except for the L.A. Looks gel in his hair, Chase Utley(notes) finishes second to Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson on style points.

When it comes to substance in the World Series, though, Utley is right there with Mr. October.

Utley tied Jackson's record for most home runs in a World Series when he connected against Yankees' left-hander Phil Coke(notes) in the bottom of the seventh inning of Game 5, helping the Phillies to an 8-6 victory

Here's Utley's homer against Coke.

It was Utley's second homer of the night; he also hit a three-run shot against A.J. Burnett(notes) to help the Phillies extend their lead in a win-or-else situation; they trail the Yankees three games to two heading back to New York on Wednesday.

Jackson set the mark in the 1977 World Series, famously hitting three homers in the Game 6 clincher against the Dodgers at Yankee Stadium. The performance went a long way in creating Jackson's "Mr. October" nickname and persona.

Thank you for admitting it was "cool"! Jesus, why can't guys do that more often? We all know you all want the win first but just reflecting a little on a personal accomplishment should not be forbade in the unwritten rules. Enjoy your moment! Good luck, Phillies, Blue still pulling for you!

The best second baseman in baseball right now should have been the Chevy Player of the game, not Lee.

Chase hit two of his dingers in November......that disqualifies him from ever being called Mr. October. .....and Mr. November just doesn't sound right.

Nelson, i'm a Phillies fan and I was wondering the same thing. Jeter's having a good series, A-Rod's been coming through lately but it's been more of a team effort for them. Utley's been carrying the Phils and is the main reason this one's going 6.

The series is a lock to go 7. ARod will hit a game winning homer in the bottom of the ninth in game 7 to win it all for the Yankees. That's for you Nostradamus. Just my intuition, you heard it here first. I'm a Tigers fan though what do I know....

Congrats Mr. Utley. I am sorry to see that your still down but, congrats on tying a record in a single world series. Whether your team wins or loses you better cash in on this by demanding more money next season. YOU are single handed the only reason that the Phillies didn't lose even after a great performance by Lee. Man did AJ Burnett live up to what I thought he was from day one. A piece of crap purchased to fill a rotation that is just as horrible as he is with the exception of CC and Petite. Had Wang been right this series would be one hell of a different one.
