Big League Stew - MLB

Earlier this week, we brought you the story of Brian Wilson giving up his Twitter account because of some meddling done by the media.

Now comes word that Bob Uecker isn't messing with the Internet craze, not so much because Tweeting about a few late-night pops caused any controversy, but because he's not sure what it is.

Over on Right Field Bleachers, they extracted audio of Ueck trying to talk about Twitter during Wednesday's game and if this isn't proof that Uecker can be entertaining while even talking about something he has no clue about, I'm not exactly sure what would be. Take a listen as we get vintage Ueck surmising that Twitter has something to do with heart condition, then Tweety Bird and then, finally, a breakfast of Miller Lite and Frosted Flakes.

Since Uecker himself doesn't Twitter ( at least not yet), I opened up on my own Twitter feed and asked my followers what the Brewers broadcast would be relating to the world if he tweeted. Here's what they came back with:

@sokane1 "Juussssttttt a bit over 140 characters!"

@rexdeaz "And with them only partially closing the Miller Park roof today, we'll be juuuust a bit inside."

@millerparkdrunk "Brewers signed Hoffman for 6 million today. When I signed it was for $3000 and my dad had to loan it to me."

@PunkOnDeck "Fielder quit eating meat last offseason. (covers mic) Check out the hamhocks on that Bessie in section 104. Nice."

@DevineBoston. "h8 u, brocktoon."

Anyone else have any other Twitter suggestions for Uecker?

A big BLS head nod to Brew Crew Ball for the redirect.

    Uecker is right about this. Just ask Sylvester the cat, who really deserves all the credit.

    What I will never understand is why they don't use Uecker's feed for TV

    If nothing else Uecker will have fans pulling for him, a good portion of the fabric of Baseball and some of the stories if they are not true they should be . Ueck I enjoyed watching your play and you got what you were worth .
