The weekend is almost over, the graduation parties and weddings are done (at least for another week) and we really don't have much else to do.
That can mean only one thing — a Big League Stew LiveBlog as the Cubs attempt to sweep the first leg of the Crosstown Classic.
Your moderators tonight are BLS editor 'Duk, who is sitting comfortably on his couch, awaiting a deep dish pizza delivery and some inane goodness from one Mr. Joe Morgan. His apartment is almost exactly one mile away from Wrigley Field and if things go well, there's a chance he might be able to hear the bleacher roar come through his living room window.
BLS contributor David Brown, meanwhile, is sitting inside the packed Wrigley Field pressbox, ready to bring us all the atmosphere from the Friendly Confines, likes fistfights in the grandstand (or, if we're lucky, in the press room cafeteria) or the inevitable trash shower from the bozos in the bleachers should there be a blown call.
A few other people said they might be able to stop by, but we're also counting on hearing from you at home. Just type your comments in the CoverItLive box below and we'll post some of the best. They don't have to be about the game at hand, either. Anything and everything MLB is welcome
Current forecast calls for scattered showers but this radar doesn't look too bad. We'll go live at 7 p.m. CDT.
