Big League Stew - MLB

As promised, here are the highlights from my l'il road trip up I-94 to Milwaukee last Saturday for the Brewers-Pirates game. As you'll be able to see, three things were flowing freely that day: Miller Lite, 67 varieties of mustard and unabashed hope that the Brewers were going to trade for CC Sabathia.

(Note Kreskin at the 3:27 mark who completely nails when the trade would happen.)

It should be noted that most of the people featured in the video, save for my shaggy-haired Italian friend Joe, were complete strangers until we started talking.

Also, if you're completely moved by my iMovie directorial debut and want to visit Miller Park later this summer, make sure to check out our BLS Big Ballpark Review of one of the happiest places on Earth.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I think that dude in the yellow hat was cheating at flip cup (around 4:21-4:30). And it's all on tape. He owes his buddies some beer.
Thanks for the video. Although the graphics were terrible. ;-)

The dumbest tailgating moment I ever saw was at Milwaukee County Stadium the last year it was open. People were grilling brats in beer, not a bad idea. They were also drinking beer, another good idea. The problem was they were cooking in Guinness and drinking Miller Lite!

Wow watching this has made me realize how much of a communist regime the Rockies have going. No tailgating at Rockies-operated parking lots; no running of the weiners on the field; no awesome/retractable roof (which would have been nice for those 40-degree games in April); no 2007 NL ROY (instead it turns out we got the ROY-wannabe with an anger management problem); and only 1 all-star pitcher.
Life in Monfortsylvakia really sucks, thanks for making me realize it Duk.
And Mickey I was about to post the same thing about that yellow guy on the left being a flippin' cheater; he should be pissed on by his friends (to quote the guy at the end).

It's unfortunate the beer ran out prior to any keg stands.

varvil- you are not from wi. neither am i but i did stay in a holiday inn last night and i lived in green bay for 5 years. let me help you out. miller lite (0r even better, mgd) is for drinking. beers that come in strange green bottles are used for cooking brats. mgd goes with everything....wheaties, tuna fish, brats, s'mores, frozen custard from storheims. i may be forgetting something but get some more mgd while you're out, ok? if you really want to see something, cruise down a residential street on monday morning after a sunday packer game. if you picked up all the beer cans (in bags, no less) you could retire.

It's not quite Lambeau South yet but Miller Park is certainly gaining some distinction.

It's always a great day for a ballgame at Miller Park. It's a great stadium, is really fun to tailgate in the parking lot, the wiener race is one of the most fun traditions in baseball, Bernie Brewer sliding down the slide every Brewer home run, it's a huge slice of Americana. It's no wonder the ball club ranked so high in fan satisfaction.

Oh how I miss that... going to games at Chase Field has become cold and impersonal, not much of an experience.

I am a Cubs fan, but I love tailgating at Miller Park. Every time I go, there are probably 55/45 Brewers fans to Cubs fan making it a very friendly environment for us "visitors". Grill some brats, drink some beer, play some beer pong - good times, good times. They could install more porta-pots though.
