All of us knew by Labor Day that both Evan Longoria and Geovany Soto were going to run away with their respective Rookie of the Year awards, but today it became official. Longoria was an unanimous choice in the AL while Geovany Soto took 31 of 32 first place votes in the NL. (Someone going blotto for Joey Votto prevented it from being a clean sweep.)
Congratulations, gentlemen. May your careers forever be linked more in the manner of Andre Dawson and Eddie Murray ('77) than Jason Jennings and Eric Hinske ('02).

#2, you say Evan sucks defensively? What? Have you never seen this guy play?
The first two comments I guess came from bitter Red Sox or Yankees fan, Longoria is going to be a star in this league, he's well on his way, and pretty much every single major league scout (including those from YOUR teams) agree.
Are phinchaser and imreadytoplay the same guy btw? Avatars match.

That, and your avatar has changed right along with Phinchasers.
So not only do you have an agenga, you posted under two names so that SOMEONE would agree with you.
BTW, I'm not a Rays fan, just an objective fan of baseball. That's the perspective you need.
I see the Sox fans are still blaming injuries. Rays went a month w/o their best pitcher, then six weeks at the end w/o their top two defensive and offensive players, one of whom was longoria. So that dog don't hunt.
So yes, you're bitter. Your post #11 screams it. It's easier if you just admit it.

At least I agree with you on Soto. Which scares me, b/c I don't myself trust your baseball judgment.

And yes, you blame injuries. Look at your post # 11
"We went a long way with a beat up roster.Your Rays were in the WS BECAUSE of that. And it took you all seven games with Beckett hurt and Lowell out. Please sir, with a healthy team, the Sox WOULD'VE taken the ALCS in 5 or 6"
Again, not MY Rays. But your post says, if we were healthy, we win. Rays had injuries too.

And as for the playoffs, he was hitting .262 with 6HR and 11RBI going into the WS. .262 isn't great, but come on, 6HR and 11RBI through 11 games doesn't sound like "No hitting in the post" to me.
As far as being a "flash in the pan", we'll just have to wait and see. But, in my opinion, you can't just fluke your way through a 162 game season (122, but he missed the first 15 and was up for the rest of the year aside from rehab assignments for his wrist).
