Are you not entertained? Brian Wilson didn’t like All-Star boos

During last week's All-Star festivities, there wasn't much that the Chase Field crowd saw fit to cheer. Instead, almost everyone who wasn't wearing an Arizona Diamondbacks uniform was the target of boos, a fact that didn't go unnoticed by fans watching at home.

It didn't go unnoticed by the players, either, as San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson(notes) is still wondering why the fans were in such a cranky mood:

A lot of the Home Run Derby booing had to do with hometown star Justin Upton(notes) not being selected by NL captain Prince Fielder(notes). And it makes sense that the Giants — defending world champions and Arizona's division rival — wouldn't receive the warmest of welcomes.

But The Beard does have a point here: Why would you come to an All-Star game if you're going to be so hard to please? As Wilson points out, it's not exactly a cheap outing.
