Scouting Report on An'Juan Wilderness

by Jerry Meyer - 06/10/2004
A strong athlete, Wilderness excels at filling the lanes in transition and finishing at the basket. In the half court he does a nice job slashing and cutting to the basket and finishing. A good defender and rebounder, he needs to develop a midrange pull up and improve his long range shot. Although not a great handler, he does not turn the ball over much because he plays within himself.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
