Megan Rapinoe critical of Hope Solo calling Sweden 'cowards'

Megan Rapinoe, one of the most senior players on the U.S. women's soccer team, has criticized Hope Solo's disparaging comments about Sweden following the Americans' early departure from the Rio Olympics. Rapinoe told NBC Sports on Thursday she was "really disappointed" about Solo's comments. "And we've been on the winning side quite a bit, and when we find ourselves on the other side, we need to handle that graciously, and unfortunately that wasn't the case." Sweden ousted the U.S. 4-3 on penalty kicks following a 1-1 draw in a quarterfinal match.
