Kings embrace boring Super Bowl, hilariously tweet generic plays as highlights on Monday night
The Super Bowl on Sunday was one of the most boring title games in recent history.
The slow-paced, defensive battle at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta that resulted in the New England Patriots’ 13-3 win against the Los Angeles Rams frustrated football fans across the country — many of whom took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
Naturally, the Sacramento Kings had to capitalize on it.
During their 127-112 win against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, the Kings tweeted out highlights from the game, just like they normally would.

However, they weren’t highlights.
Instead the Kings embraced the boring. They hilariously shared generic, regular plays from the game the entire night.

The Kings even started tagging companies in their posts when sharing the highlights, likely to fulfill their sponsored posts requirements for the night.

They did finally show a highlight — a Marvin Bagley dunk midway through the fourth quarter.

Their Twitter feed was, without a doubt, more entertaining than most of the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
Keep up the good work, Kings.
