UK President Eli Capilouto has issued a ban on alcohol, DJs and live music in the area along Cooper Drive (between SportsCenter Drive and University Drive) for Saturday.
That spot, commonly referred to as "The Pit," is one of the most popular student tailgating spots and is where this fight broke out against WKU. In addition, the police gave 61 alcohol-related citations to minors, according to the Kentucky Kernel.
"Two weeks ago, before and after the game with Western Kentucky University, a small number of people acted in a manner that seriously threatened the safety of those around them and of police and other safety officials who are there to protect us all," Capilouto wrote in a email to students. "Such behavior will not be tolerated."
As such, an increased police force will be in the area. They will be giving citations to anyone serving or drinking alcohol in the area, and organizations who do so (fraternities typically set up in this area) will be subject to disciplinary actions from the Dean of Student Affairs.
