Landon Young, a rising sophomore offensive lineman who committed to Kentucky today, is about 38 months away from playing his first game as a Wildcat (assuming he ends up coming to UK).
That's a long way out -- not as long as that seventh-grader would be if he committed, but still a long way out -- and it's much further away than any recruit has ever committed to UK in the Rivals era.
Here's a year-by-year list of who the first commitment(s) was in each class and when they committed. The previous earliest commitment? Darrian Miller, who was about 20 months away from suiting up when he committed in December of his junior year.
