Kentucky hasn't officially released the date of its Pro Day for NFL draft hopefuls, but it looks like it will be on March 21.
NFL.com lists Kentucky's Pro Day on Thursday, March 21.
That's the same day as Eastern Kentucky and Georgia, among a few others. To see the full list of pro days, click on the above link.
Pro Day is a time for departing players to audition for NFL scouts. They run the 40, do positional drills, and their measurements are taken. It's not a big deal for some guys, who have been invited to the NFL combine (Feb. 20-26), but for other guys, it's the only opportunity to get in front of pro scouts. It varies from school to school, but between 15-20 NFL scouts usually show up for UK's pro day.
This year, only guard Larry Warford has been invited to the combine among UK's seniors. He's projected to go in the second round. NFL.com lists wide receiver La'Rod King as the only other "player to watch" at UK's pro day, but there will be others who will sign free agent deals with NFL teams. Center Matt Smith should find himself in a camp, and players like Collins Ukwu, Craig McIntosh and Martavius Neloms could get a shot also.
