Devin Booker, a four-star shooting guard ranked No. 27 overall, will visit Kentucky for the upcoming alumni game.
Booker tweeted out his list of official visits, with UK's day coming Sept. 9. (The others: Michigan State, Michigan, Missouri and a pending trip to Florida.)
Top-ranked center Jahlil Okafor is also visiting for the alumni game, which has quickly turned into more than just a cool event for fans.
It's a bona fide recruiting tool now, too. A co-headline with Big Blue Madness, if you will. And, to me, it's an event that can differentiate UK a bit from other elite schools that have great midnight madness events. Nobody (except UNC when they do it) has what the Cats have, when a legion of pros come back to town all at once. This year, Okafor and Booker (and possibly more) will see the likes of Anthony Davis, John Wall, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and others who are big-time players to high schoolers.
Last year Julius Randle attended the alumni game, and now we're seeing a couple big-time prospects using their visit to UK for this event. We'll see if it ends up with similar results.
