Eddie Sutton could be returning to Kentucky -- to watch practices, perhaps.
John Calipari has invited the former Wildcats coach back to campus to watch practice.
"I have invited him back," Calipari said during a recent telephone interview with the Tulsa World. "I said, 'Come on in, man. Come on in to practice.' I'm not into all that other stuff. My whole thing is Eddie Sutton has been great for the game of basketball and great for college coaches and has helped many, many programs.
"Like many of us, you have hiccups along the way. I'm not judgmental in any way. All I'm saying is I would love for him to come to my practice and evaluate what we are doing and be a set of eyes for me."
Calipari said Sutton, who presided over the NCAA scandal in the late 1980s, seems to "like the idea."
Last year, Sutton said Calipari invited him to practice three or four times but it "never worked out."
We all know Joe B. Hall is a frequent visitor to practices.
Would you be okay with Eddie Sutton coming back to evaluate and critique this year's Wildcats?
