2011 PGA Championship broadcast schedule

Once again it's time for golf's best players to suit up for "Glory's Last Shot," the 93rd PGA Championship, which will be played at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Ga., this year. The PGA is the final major of the season, making the prestigious tournament equivalent to the World Series or Super bowl of golf. The prize fund has been $7,500,000 for several years, so there is going to be a lot of incentive for the 156 players in the field to perform well.

The PGA Championship this year is highly anticipated, if not for the return of Tiger Woods than for competition between players like Woods, Rory McIlroy, who had a record setting win at the U.S. Open earlier this year; Y.E. Yang, who won the PGA championship in 2009; and a whole field of golfers in which every single player is capable of pulling off a win. The PGA Tour has never been so wide open, and the PGA Championship is going to be a knock-down drag out until the very end.

The tournament begins on Thursday, Aug. 11 and ends on Sunday, Aug. 14. Network broadcast coverage will be shared by TNT and CBS Sports, dividing coverage time on Saturday and Sunday.

Here is the broadcast schedule:

The Road to the PGA Championship

It is a great program for getting in a championship state of mind, and familiarizing yourself with the course, as well as some of the lesser-known golfers who you may have wished you were watching if you didn't know them before the championship.
