Golf stores in New York City: All your golfing needs
You don't have to be in suburbia to get your golf store goodies. New York City is filled with golf shops, notwithstanding Manhattan. While ever-popular Chelsea Piers has plenty of golf gear from which to choose, Midtown East is an NYC neighborhood where you can get your next golf glove or new set of golf balls, too.
Chelsea Piers Golf Shop
The golf shop at Chelsea Piers is officially called New York Golf Center, which also operates another golf store over in the Garment District, at 131 W. 35th St. What's particularly great about this golf shop is that it's located in the place as Chelsea Piers' multi-tiered golf driving range that overlooks the Hudson River. In the same facility is Chelsea Piers Golf Academy, instruction for golfers of all ages.
Brands sold for both men and women golfers include Cobra, Tiger Shark, and Ping. The store operates a rental department and also sells used golf clubs. Whether you're looking for wildly-colored golf shorts or straight-laced golf clothing, the golf shop at Chelsea Piers has you covered.
Stop into the golf shop at Chelsea Piers (New York Golf Center), located on Pier 59, near 18th St., off the West Side Hwy, between the weekday hours of 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Midtown East Golf Shops
Golfsmith and World of Golf are both located in Midtown East, Golfsmith in upper Midtown East and World of Golf in lower Midtown East. World of Golf is specifically located at 147 E. 47th St., between 3rd and Lexington. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Golfsmith is specifically located at 641 Lexington Avenue, and store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Golfsmith is a well-reported on golf store. It's a full golf shop, servicing your golfing needs, including a golf repair shop. Use the interactive driving range while there, especially if you're trying to choose a new driver.
Like Golfsmith, World of Golf has a large stock of golf clubs and accessories. Titleist, Callaway and TaylorMade are only a few of the makers of golf products at both of these Midtown East stores. Check out the golf swing analyzer while you're there.
