First, like everyone else in the golf community, I'm praying for Phil and Amy Mickelson. I've gotten to know Phil a bit through our mutual association with Butch Harmon, and I can't think of a more generous soul in the game. I can tell you that at last week's LPGA event, that's all anybody wanted to talk about. Every day, when I see Butch at the practice facility in Vegas, I'm hoping to hear some good news about Amy. We all are.
In a couple of weeks, I'm playing with Peter Jacobsen in the CVS Classic, the tournament run by Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade. Peter and I have decided to wear pink in honor of Amy, and in support of breast cancer research.
As for my game, I couldn't be more excited. I've compiled top 15s three weeks in a row, and I truly believe this is only the beginning. Of course, there's a lot more work to do. As well as I played, I made just enough unnecessary mistakes to cost me any chance of really contending. I'm going to fix that, and fast. The bulk of our schedule is coming up, highlighted by the U.S. Women's Open in early July.
This is a big year for me, and other LPGA players from the U.S. It's a Solheim Cup year, and I badly want to make the team again. I've been on a couple of teams, and there is no more meaningful experience in the game. Already, we've gotten fitted for our clothes, and held team meetings. After all that, it sure would be a shame to miss the team. My play over the last few weeks has elevated me to No. 8 in the standings, but I'm far from secure. A lot of players can move up in the next few months.
Anyway, so long for now.
And please pray for Phil and Amy, and their family.

Here's an idea...wear pink all season long and donate 10% of your earning to support the research of cancer. It's one thing to pray and it's another to do something more and you are certainly a person who has the means to do something more so......do something more....Natalie.

What have you done? How much of your salary do you donate?
If people wore pink for breast cancer every day, the symbol would lose it's meaning. Better that Natalie and others do something now, than never do anything. Like you, perhaps.
Howie. Grow up.

I always donate something in Safeway for breast cancer funds, And I'm not a millionaire, I just care, My Aunt died of a breast cancer. So if you can help even a small donation, that means a lot to thousands of people.
Good luck Natalie Gulbis, to your great intention, anyway THIS IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE right?

Aww... thanks for making sure we know why you'll be wearing pink in your next tournament.
Wearing pink to raise awareness? How about use the blog post to talk more about breast cancer instead of your tournament standings? How about use the blog post to educate the public about the danger of breast cancer and steps people can take to catch it at the early stage? How about use the blog post to talk about the various charitable organizations and events out there that are fighting this awful disease?
Wearing pink to raise awareness? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
