Devil Ball Golf - Golf

Time again for another Devil Ball podcast! This week, we're hanging with the estimable Peter Jacobsen, a golfer whose range of experience spans not only the PGA and Champions tours, but rock music, television, books and all kinds of other endeavors as well. Jacobsen is the kind of guy we'd all love to be -- his job is playing golf, so whatever he does outside of that is just gravy.

He's laid up for a bit with an injured shoulder, but he still has plenty of endeavors that you can keep up with at peterjacobsengolf.com. He took the time to discuss all kinds of major golf issues with us, from the Champions Tour's prospects to the responsibilities of younger golfers to spend time smooching with the sponsors. Jake's a great interview, and I think you'll dig it.

Peter is a great golfer,no doubt, but I'll probably remember the time he tackled the streaker...That was one of the funniest moments in golf history, and his commentary on the matter was absolutely hilarious...Peter is a legend.:)

All you need to know is that superman is ranked in the 13% in whatever golf league he has hidden in his prfile. So whatever he chooses, do something different because his stats don't lie.

peter jacobsen is the man...his imitations of golf swings are absolute comedic gold.
and camillo and baddely both played the super easy north course when it was really soft. i expect both to come back to earth in a hurry on the south (7,600 yards when it's soft? have fun with that).
and phil's score on the south with THOSE tees? that's more impressive than camillo's 63.

I gotta take the contrarian view on "Jake". While he has been impressive as a promoter/ambassador of golf at times, I have a tough time getting past his comments about the women expressing their view a few years back at the Augusta Country Club. They had something to say! Whether you agree or disagree with this civil disobedience display, to refer to the group in "base" terms is somewhat demeaning to both Jacobsen and somewhat to a larger degree to the image of the game, where it might not hurt taking a lesson on being inclusive!

stirred my soup? your words not mine. As I prefaced the comment, Jake is fine, but from a contrarian stand point, he contributed nothing to the conversation when asked his thoughts about the " protest"...it's been awhile, so give me a little room here for the verbage...the content was to the effect that the picketing was made up of a bunch of freaks...that's it...fire away1
