Fans of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson may not care overmuch for the current scattered state of professional golf, but Vegas is loving it. The fact that there's no clear favorite at Augusta means that there's all kinds of opportunity for those of a betting persuasion to lay some cash on some new favorites.
As Golf Digest's John Strege notes, Woods and Mickelson are still getting plenty of play, even though it's been quite awhile since either man has won a freaking tournament. Woods is going off at 7/1 and Mickelson at 8/1, though plenty of that is idiot money laid by people who don't know any other names in the field.
Next up on golfodds.com's odds lines are Rory McIlroy, Martin Kaymer, Nick Watney and Lee Westwood at 15/1. Dustin Johnson goes off at 20/1, and that could be some solid action. Kenny Perry is listed at 250/1, which could make you some serious cash if he catches 2009 in a bottle. And John Daly (?), Tom Watson and Mark O'Meara all go off at 500/1. Save your money, everybody.
