2008 recap: For awhile there, it looked as if Hall of Famer Webb wouldn't match her astonishing run of tournament wins that happened around the turn of the millennium. Then came 2006, when she knocked out five wins and appeared in the midst of a career second win. Since then, though, nada. And her finishes in 2008 skittered between near-misses and flameouts, not a good sign for her future prospects.
2009 outlook: Webb finished 11th in scoring average last year, so her game isn't completely gone or anything. But she's going to need to find consistency in her finishes to make sure 2006 wasn't just an aberration. Regardless -- and not that this is anything to be ashamed of -- her name will likely be moving down, rather than up, most of these lists in the near future.
