Devil Ball Golf - Golf

Welcome to Ochoa & The Others! In the tradition of our landmark blog behemoth Tiger & The 49ers, we're counting down the top 10 women currently playing in the LPGA. We continue onward.

No. 5: Suzann Pettersen

2008 LPGA Wins: 0
Top 3s: 5
Top 10s: 10
Money Earned: $1,177,809

2008 recap: Pettersen had a solid 2008, notching 10 top-10 finishes in 24 events played. She ranked in the top 10 in most statistical categories, led by a third-place ranking in greens hit. While she didn't have any wins on the LPGA -- she did have one on the European tour -- she was a constant presence, including five top-three finishes.

2009 outlook: The Kraft Nabisco Championship is right there for Pettersen's taking; she's placed second the last two years. Expect her winless streak to halt this year; she's too often at the top of the leaderboards for that to last much longer.

Suzann Pettersen is a real good looking lady and she can obviously play golf. I hope she has a great year .
Incidentally, she can have only one solid 2008 !!!

Ahhhh, correction, Travis, you are talking out of you azz, or kizzing azz again, She's going to have a tough year specially, when Michele Wie is back, and the Koreans have plenty of rest,
And hello, Ms. Ochoa is going to have a better year than 2008, so there, later

Suzann did something last year that I believe shows how well she played. She won over a million dollars on the LPGA without winning a tournament.I know Natalie Gulbis has done it also, but I can't think of anybody else.
I can see Suzann winning in 2009...She has been playing really well for two straight seasons, and plays well in every Major.
I can't wait for them to start this week. :)

I like Suzann. She looks so athletic! But then, she has not won a single tournament.
There will be more and better competition displayed by all the players so she is going to have to work hard to catch the likes of Lorena ochoa with her dedication to training and decipline that has made her a real blue golf champ.
Lorena is the real deal with class to boot!!

Michelle Wie will not be a factor at all. Ochoa will still be on top. Paula Creamer will keep making strides. Suzann may need to work more on her game. She is a great player but needs to be more consistent with her game.

    @ wounded warrior:
Suzann won 5 times in 2007,including 1 major...and she could have won 2 majors that year.

I have followed her for the past 2 years, and believe I have found the answer to her obvious talent. Watch her sholders after she hits a bad shot or 2. I think she starts getting down on herself, which leads to self distruction. She just needs more SUCK UP AND GO...STUB
