Each week, Five To Watch breaks down the most significant players
and storylines for the upcoming weekend's tournament. We're not saying
these guys will win, or that you should pick them for your fantasy
team; we're just saying you ought to keep an eye on them. You never
know what might happen. Today, we're at the end of the golf season! Really! Well, except for the tournaments that follow and ... you know what? Let's just move on.
Zach Johnson: The most anonymous of the heavy hitters of the 2009 season, Johnson is always a guy to watch. He's the kind of player who could run away with this tournament and finish the year with a flourish. But then again, he's not playing for his career, so that could have an impact on how seriously he takes this tourney in relation to the rest of the field.
Davis Love III: DL3 has some fond memories of this tournament -- he won last year, and that marked his 20th win on Tour. The significance of that? He now has a lifetime exemption. Only Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh have won more among active players.
Justin Leonard: He may be slowing down a touch, but he's always dangerous in these late-season events, and is riding a solid recent history. He may or may not be a marquee player at this point, but with most of the marquee guys at home, he's as good a bet as anyone.
Rickie Fowler: Fowlermania is rolling right along, and if Rickie is able to make some noise here -- leapfrogging Q School and moving straight onto the Tour next year -- it'll reach fever-pitch levels. We'll see how Rickie responds to pressure this weekend.
David Duval, Ricky Barnes, et al.: No disrespect to the gentlemen named above, but the real interest will be on how the bubble boys -- those hanging around No. 125 on the money list -- perform in this tournament. Play well, and 2010 is in the cards; play poorly, and things get much trickier.
All right, your turn. What's your take on the final event of the PGA season? Go!

David Duval is such an incredible person , who found his happiness with a family. I pull for D.D. as much as any athlete and I hope he can secure his card. He doesn't feel entitled like Eldrick. See you in 2010 Lefty.

he can still post a good score. Does that remind you of anyone? He hit 12 greens today, but still
shot 6 under. How do you do that....Rickie, you got some 'plaining to do.

Tiger haters will be Tiger haters looking for something to bash him for. And will embellish.
Was just saying before.

This is what Tiger says after missing a 18 foot, left to right breaking putt
on the last green to win by seven instead of eight shots. The putt was for
eagle, but he settles for birdie. Poor baby.
