Cheyenne Woods made her LPGA debut on Thursday at the Wegmans Championship, and fans of her uncle Tiger will be thrilled to know that the entire field bowed down before her and allowed her to go ahead and claim the trophy.
Oh, don't be fooled by the scoreboard. Yes, it looks like she shot a +3 to tie for 119th place after the first round. But we know the truth. We know that Natalie and Morgan and all the rest of the ladies are just going to go in the tank for Cheyenne, because that's what everybody does when the Woods family comes calling, right?
In all -- or slight -- seriousness, Woods currently sits two below the projected cut line, and twelve behind the leaders. So she's not going to light the world on fire from Day One, but that's okay; there's still time. No pressure, Cheyenne, no pressure at all. After all, as Shane notes over at FanHouse, Tiger missed the cut in his first PGA event, too.
Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson's niece rearended a Tour bus and got locked in a clubhouse bathroom before her round.*
*-No, not really. I don't even know if Phil has a niece. Sergio Garcia's niece, however, was spotted curled up in a fetal position and weeping.**
**-Um, yeah -- again, I have no idea if Sergio has a niece. But I can say that Rocco Mediate's niece -- aw, I'll stop here.
