On the Hoof: Muscular shoulders, long arms and large hands. His legs are long and built like an elite high jumper. His build is most similar to Hakeem Nicks when he was coming out of high school.
Needs Improvement: Could improve overall speed. He is just a tad stiff in the hips and increasing flexibility in his lower body could make him more dangerous when in space.
Most Impressive: Does a nice job catching the ball with his hands away from his body while shielding the defender from making a play. His body control is excellent as he can adjust to poorly thrown balls once they are in the air. Metoyer runs excellent routes and does not need to be open to make a play.
Conclusion: If Metoyer shows off great hands and is willing to block on running plays, he surely will make a big splash early in his career. Look for him to become an all-conference performer before his career is finished.
