Scouting Report on Tre Maddenby Barry Every - 06/03/2010
- SpeedBlue Chip
- SizeDivision I Player
- StrengthBlue Chip
- AgilityBlue Chip
- Lateral PursuitBlue Chip
On the Hoof: Madden has a thick, muscular and athletic frame. His overall body shape is similar to 2009 U.S. Army All-American Dorian Bell.
Needs Improvement: Madden played a lot of offense last year, so getting more reps at linebacker - his projected position at the next level - is key. He is a very active linebacker and has to be careful not to have his eyes focused in the backfield, leaving him prone to play-action passes.
Most Impressive: He is built for speed and has the hips to turn and run with backs running routes. Madden also can run sideline to sideline by using his tremendous lateral movement. His muscular body structure will also allow him to play inside linebacker with the size and strength to bounce around while in the middle of the field.
Conclusion: He could be an impact player as a freshman because he has speed and really knows the game of football. The fact that he has played quarterback and running back will help him prepare for games. He should become an all-conference performer.
