Burton focused on his future at Colorado02/13/2005 BuffStampede.com

Marcus Burton is one of the 2005 signees that Colorado fans are most excited about, and for good reason. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker was a tackling machine at Channelview (Texas) High School. "Burton was a big [time] recruit from the beginning," said his coach, John Launius. "He turned down offers from Washington State, UTEP, and UCLA." Houston, SMU, Oklahoma State, Missouri and TCU also extended scholarship offers. What made CU stand out?
