On the Hoof: One of the few players that may actually be bigger than listed. He is a cross between LSU wide receiver Rueben Randle and Arizona freshman safety Marquis Flowers.
Needs Improvement: Brown needs to work on breaking down into a better tackling position in the open field. Also has a tendency to tackle high, which will need to be corrected because at the next level the ballcarriers are much stronger. As a receiver he will need to improve the quickness that he gets off the line of scrimmage at the snap of the ball.
Most Impressive: Has great size making him a mismatch for small corners and defensively he could play either safety or linebacker. Brown catches the ball away from his body and with his hands while his speed is deceptive because of his long, elegant strides. He is very strong and hard to bring down when carrying the ball.
Conclusion: Most likely could make the earliest impact at the receiver position rather than at defensive back. Also has the size and speed to potentially be a kick returner and cover kicks. Either way Brown has superior overall athleticism and should be the type of player, if focused, that becomes all-conference.
