On the Hoof: Very muscular overall body structure with wide shoulders and very athletic legs. He physically resembles a slightly bigger version of Georgia freshman Orson Charles.
Needs Improvement: He needs to work on flexibility, because he is a bit stiff and has a tendency to round his routes off. Thomas also needs to improve overall speed just a bit if he is going to be considered a deep threat as a tight end.
Most Impressive: His overall body structure and strength is incredible, and he is already a proven run blocker. For a muscular tight end, he has very good hands and catches the ball away from his body.
Conclusion: Linebackers and tight ends make up the majority of most special teams, and Thomas will definitely contribute early on in his career in that department. He also has the overall strength and athleticism to help out in goal-line offense. Look for him to earn a starting position by his second year.
