Scouting Report on Davon Jefferson

by Jerry Meyer - 02/22/2006
An outstanding athlete with both explosiveness and great body control, Jefferson has the potential to be an elite small forward. He has a very soft touch on his shot but is limited to 17-foot range at this point in his development. His ball handling and passing skills are steadily improving. With additional strength and weight gain, he could be a very good defender and rebounder.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
