Scouting Report on Marcus Lucas

On the Hoof: Lucas is tall and has a very lean overall body structure with wide shoulders. Phisically similar to A.J. Green of Georgia but a tad taller.
Needs Improvement: This big receiver needs to break more arm tackles by keeping his feet moving after the catch while in traffic. Lucas could also improve his route running by using his plant foot to make better cuts.
Most Impressive: Very smooth athlete with deceptive speed that will be able to take advantage of small defensive backs. Lucas has some of the best hands in the country and will make tough catches look second nature. He also has excellent body control and can adjust to the ball in the air.
Conclusion: His size and hands will allow him to become an instant impact player at the next level. Do not expect him to be the No. 1, go-to guy right away, but he will eventually become an all-league performer with serious NFL potential.
