Next Match: away to Genoa, December 15
Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono has pointed the finger at referee Andrea De Marco for his side's 2-1 defeat at Hellas Verona last weekend. Colantuono was fuming regarding two pivotal decisions made by the official in the game. "The corner kick that led to Hellas' opener should have never been given and the penalty was non-existent," Colantuono said. "We deserved the three points but we lost because of two refereeing decisions that were not difficult to evaluate. We don't want any gifts, only what is fair." The Bergamaschi have lost two of their last three games and lie 13th in the standings ahead of their game at Genoa on Sunday.
