Darren Ambrose admits everyone at Charlton is "gutted" by their relegation - but declared confidence is high for a swift return to the top flight. Ambrose, 23, knows first hand what a bitter pill relegation can be to swallow as he also went down with Ipswich in 2002. The winger, however, is confident Pardew's men will have what it takes to mount a sustained assault on promotion next season. "The manager has said that we can all hold our heads up high and be proud of the fight we put up to try to survive," said Ambrose. "Maybe it was a bit too little too late, and we are all devastated to be relegated, everyone is feeling gutted. But we've got to look to the future now, try and keep our squad together and bounce straight back up."
