Next Match: away to Osasuna, January 20

Deportivo la Coruna defender Silvio believes they will have to improve significantly on their points tally from their first 19 games of the season in the second part of the campaign if they are to survive. The Galicians have picked up four points from a possible six since Domingos Paciencia took charge at the start of the year but they remain in the bottom three on just 16 points. However, the Portuguese international is confident they can build on that tally in the coming weeks, starting with a visit to bottom placed Osasuna this weekend. He told Marca: "If we get the same number of points in the second part of the season as they first then we won't achieve survival. We have to do much better, but I am sure that the group is united and wants to work to achieve the objectives of the club."
