Next Match: away to Mainz, December 14
Borussia Monchengladbach vice-president Rainer Bonhof has advised Marc-Andre ter Stegen to remain at the club next season among growing interest from Barcelona. The Germany international is still contracted to the club for another 18 months, but the Catalan side seem set to tempt him away. Bonhof believes it would not be a good career move, however, and says he would be better off staying where he is. "I don't think this would be the right step at his age," Bonhof told Sport1 television "I think Marc fits in here perfectly. He could become a lead figure and grow with us." Bonhof says his club has yet to receive an official enquiry about its goalkeeper.
