Next Match: at home to Wolfsburg, January 26 Europe: UEFA Europa League (Round of 32) Hannover has further strengthened its squad by signing left full-back Sebastien Pocognoli from Standard Liege. He becomes the Reds' fourth signing this winter, joining Johan Djourou, Andre Hoffmann and Franca. "I am convinced that Sebastien Pocognoli will soon strengthen us in the left-back position," said Hannover's director of sport Jorg Schmadtke. Coach Mirko Slomka saw the full-back in action against his side four times last season in the Europa League and was particularly impressed. "I know all about him," he said. "We agreed that we wanted to do something on the left-hand side of the field and I'm pleased that we were able to complete this deal so quickly." |
