Lions QB Matthew Stafford(notes) (knee) took in more than half the first-team practice reps on Thursday and is on target to start.

Browns RB Jamal Lewis(notes) (wrist) practiced again Thursday and is expected to start.

Bills starting FB Corey McIntyre(notes) (knee) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered questionable to play.

Browns FB Lawrence Vickers(notes) (shoulder) saw light work again Thursday, but is expected to start.

Colts rookie RB Donald Brown(notes) (shoulder) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered very questionable to play.

Cowboys RB Marion Barber(notes) (thumb) practiced again Thursday and is expected to start. Backup RB Felix Jones(notes) will be returning kicks this week, so that’s a really good sign that his knee is fine.

Cowboys FB Deon Anderson(notes) (illness) returned to practice and will start. He was removed from the injury report.

Dolphins backup RB Ricky Williams(notes) (thumb) practiced Wednesday and is expected to play.

Eagles starting RB Brian Westbrook(notes) (concussion/knee) didn’t practice again Thursday, as expected, and is considered very questionable to play. However, he dressed for practice, in his jersey, but without a helmet. That could suggest that he’s not having typical light sensitivity issues that are sometimes related to concussions. We’re told he was feeling pretty good today, but he still hasn’t been cleared for running yet. The team is still preparing as though rookie RB LeSean McCoy(notes) will start on Sunday.

Falcons starting FB Ovie Mughelli(notes) (calf) saw light practice time on Thursday and is considered questionable to play.

Falcons backup RB Jerious Norwood(notes) (hip) didn’t practice Thursday and is considered very questionable to play. Backup RB Jason Snelling(notes) (hamstring) didn’t practice Thursday and is considered questionable to play. The team signed veteran RB Aaron Stecker(notes) for insurance this week.

Lions FB Jerome Felton(notes) (ankle) saw light work again Thursday, but is expected to start.

Giants backup RB Ahmad Bradshaw(notes) (ankle/foot) didn’t practice again Thursday, but is expected to play. He has a small fracture on the outside of his foot and if it breaks much further, he could wind up having surgery. If that happens, he could miss the rest of the season. No. 3 RB Danny Ware(notes) would fill in if needed.

Panthers backup RB Jonathan Stewart(notes) (Achilles) returned to practice Thursday and is expected to play.

Panthers FB Brad Hoover(notes) (back) practiced again Thursday and is on target to start on Sunday.

Raiders starting RB Darren McFadden(notes) (knee) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered doubtful to play. Backup RBs Michael Bush(notes) and Justin Fargas(notes) will fill in again.

Saints starting FB Heath Evans(notes) (knee) was placed on IR. The team signed FB Kyle Eckel(notes) who could see time filling in for him. Evans’ loss could be potentially an issue in blocking for the running game as Eckel isn’t known for his blocking.

Receivers

Browns starting TE Robert Royal(notes) (finger/hamstring) saw light work Thursday and is considered questionable to play. No. 2 TE Steve Heiden(notes) (knee) missed practice Thursday and is considered questionable to play. However, it remains to be seen how many plays he can handle since his ankle won’t be healed for at least a few more weeks. Backup WR Steve Breaston(notes) (knee) saw light work again Thursday, but is expected to play.

Colts starting WR Reggie Wayne(notes) (groin), as expected, didn’t practice Thursday. The team considers him questionable at this point to play. They do believe he will be able to test his injury on Friday. If he doesn’t, the chances of him playing would decrease. If he’s not able to play, the team has a lot of ways to approach filling his role. They could move WR Pierre Garcon(notes) to his side and start backup WR Hank Baskett(notes) opposite him or they could move rookie WR Austin Collie(notes) in with Garcon. Or they could use more two-TE sets. We’ll know more after Friday’s practice. WR Anthony Gonzalez(notes) (knee) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered doubtful to play.

Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery(notes) (hamstring) took in more practice time Thursday with the first-team offense. If he can practice again Friday, he’ll likely start on Sunday.

Lions starting WR Calvin Johnson(notes) (knee) took in about half of Thursday’s practice. The coaches were encouraged with his progress, but he’s still considered questionable to play. Friday’s practice is important for him. If he can practice some again Friday, the chances of him playing would increase. If he can’t practice, he likely won’t play with veteran WR Dennis Northcutt(notes) filling in again for him.

Packers backup TE Jermichael Finley(notes) (knee) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered doubtful to play.

Panthers starting WR Muhsin Muhammad(notes) (knee) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered questionable to play. Backup WR Dwayne Jarrett(notes) filled in again for him.

Raiders starting WR Chaz Schilens(notes) (foot) didn’t practice again Thursday and is considered doubtful to play. Rookie WR Louis Murphy(notes) (hip) was added to the injury report after being limited in Thursday’s practice, but is expected to start again for Schilens again.

Saints TE Jeremy Shockey(notes) (shoulder) saw light practice time Thursday, but is expected to start.

Texans WR Andre Johnson(notes) (lung/chest) took in about three quarters of Thursday’s practice, but moved around pretty well. He’s on target to start on Sunday, barring a setback. Backup WR Andre’ Davis(notes) would likely start if Johnson wound up not being able to play.

Titans starting WR Nate Washington(notes) (quadriceps) was added to the injury report after not being able to practice on Thursday. More on his status will be known after Friday’s practice.

Vikings starting WR Bernard Berrian(notes) (hamstring) saw light work on Thursday and is considered questionable to play. Rookie WR Percy Harvin(notes) (illness) was added to the injury report after not practicing on Thursday. The team would not disclose what’s wrong with him, but it could be a migraine headache. He dealt with them earlier this season and had light sensitivity issues for a few days. We’ll know more after Friday’s practice.

Browns K Phil Dawson(notes) (right calf) saw light work again Thursday and is considered questionable to play. Backup K Billy Cundiff(notes) would fill in again if Dawson can’t play.
