Most-Dropped Fantasy Basketball Players from Week 14

As with any sport, players can decline in production just as fast as they rise in popularity for a recent hot streak. Whether it's a major injury that will keep the player out for an extended period of time or a recent cold streak in production, here are the most-dropped players from Week 14 of the 2011 fantasy basketball season.

Monday, Mar. 26: C Nikola Pekovic, Minnesota Timberwolves, 9,713 drops*

Out since March 21 with bone spurs in his right ankle, the Timberwolves have gone 2-5 in Pekovic's absence. Expected to return during Week 15, Pekovic will provide great production for fantasy owners who have held onto the center if he is healthy.

Other top drops of the day: Houston Rockets PG Kyle Lowry (5,602 drops), Minnesota Timberwolves PG J.J. Barea (5,324 drops), Houston Rockets SG Kevin Martin (5,250 drops)

Tuesday, Mar. 27: PF/C Amar'e Stoudemire, New York Knicks, 8,550 drops

With a bulging disk in his lower back, Stoudemire will not need surgery but will most likely miss the rest of the regular season and ultimately halting his value in fantasy basketball. If the Knicks make the playoffs, Stoudemire is aiming for a potential return in the first round.

Other top drops of the day: Kyle Lowry (6,186 drops), Milwaukee Bucks SG/SF Carlos Delfino (5,029 drops), Washington Wizards PF Trevor Booker (4,763 drops)

Wednesday, Mar. 28: PF/C Amar'e Stoudemire, New York Knicks, 8,293 drops

Other top drops of the day: Toronto Raptors PG/SG Jerryd Bayless (4,333 drops), Kyle Lowry (3,173 drops), Trevor Booker (3,018 drops)

Thursday, Mar. 29: PF/C Amar'e Stoudemire, New York Knicks, 3,948 drops

Other top drops of the day: New Orleans Hornets SG/SF Trevor Ariza (3,011 drops), Detroit Pistons PG/SG Rodney Stuckey (2,469 drops), Kyle Lowry (2,413 drops)

Friday, Mar. 30: PG/SG Rodrigue Beaubois, Dallas Mavericks, 2,948 drops

Beaubois was a popular drop on Friday after not playing a single second against the Orlando Magic. With Delonte West back and fewer minutes available for him in the Mavericks rotation, Beaubois is once again a risky fantasy play despite proving his value on more than one occasion this season.

Other top drops of the day: Nikola Pekovic (2,948 drops), Phoenix Suns SF/PF Grant Hill (2,890 drops), Golden State Warriors PG/SG Nate Robinson (2,492 drops)

Saturday, Mar. 31: PG Jeremy Lin, New York Knicks, 26,428 drops

The bad luck for the Knicks continues as Lin will miss about six weeks with a small chronic meniscus tear. Out for the rest of the regular season, Lin, like Stoudemire, may also return during the playoffs and will now leave the Knicks with Iman Shumpert and Baron Davis as the team's primary ball handlers.

Other top drops of the day: Nikola Pekovic (4,101 drops), Nate Robinson (3,976 drops), New Orleans Hornets PF/C Chris Kaman (3,762 drops)

Sunday, Apr. 1: PG Jeremy Lin, New York Knicks, 18,807 drops

Other top drops of the day: Denver Nuggets SG/SF Wilson Chandler (4,162 drops), Charlotte Bobcats SF/PF Corey Maggette (4,156 drops), Chris Kaman (3,756 drops)
