Commissioner Corner Message Board
I should make it clear that the team you will be taking has already drafted. He has decided this league is going to be to hard to keep up with and wants out before we start. Here are some of the key players
T.Seguin,Simmonds, Kesler ,M.Domi, Shattenkirk, McDonagh, Green and Rinne...
If you are interested I can send the full roster.
Hey my friend and I may be interested in running teams (or possibly one team together). How many people do you have currently, and what type of draft will you have (and the date)?
I hate to disagree, but I do. I run a league with 5 max moves, and I have players moving daily, none of them have counted against the max. I think this begins with the game week Monday even though the games start Wednesday.

Once the actual NHL team assigns them (usually the first regular season game), they will be marked with a red IR.
of course not, if you run a keeper league, its YOUR responsibility to assign the keepers to each team using the "Edit Draft order and Assign Keeper players" function.
If I create a custom $20 cash league but by the draft time we only have 7 players, what will happen? Do we get to start draft with the 7 players?

That team is now taken. I only have one other team left if you're interested
Roster (you can keep 6 players - only one goalie)
Martin St. Louis
James van Riemsdyk
I run a keeper league. I had everyone set 4 keepers and set a specific draft order for the teams. If I don't assign specific keepers to specific rounds for the teams, does Yahoo just default to giving each team their keepers right at the start of the draft? (Essentially starting the draft in round 5)?
Hey, my name is Don and I will be the active setup commish for this league. We will for sure have two or three others that I've been in pools with for over 15 years that have all ready committed. We are looking for as elite or active as we can get without involving money. Managers who have an extensive hockey knowledge. We hope this promotes active, fare and exiting hockey. Good trade offers, good communication, and most importantly no more holding hands. It would seem you are also a commish in a separate league so you know what I'm referring to.
The premise of the league is 16 teams, 4 divisions and 8 teams make the playoffs. It will be a keeper league, and you will keep you're entire roster. The roster will be 18 players, 2 goalies and 6 BN. You will also have 5 NA spots that you can carry over year to year. So a 31 man roster, minus one or several spots each year to make room for drafting. Next season we will be starting up a farm system using a combination of NA spots and a pro-board to allow for up to 11 total prospects. Drafting will be a lottery where the bottom eight teams will have a shot at the first pick. This will be done lottery style where a percnetage difference will be giving to each of those eight teams. The top eight like in the NHL will own spots according to there place in the playoffs. The top eight will be the four divisions leaders plus four wild card spots given to the next highest in the standings.
It will be a head to head style, 2 points will go too the winner, and 1 if there is a tie regardless of the final outcome. We currently have agreed on 12 stats, G,A, FO/PM/Hits/PPP/Shots/Blocks/wins/Gaa/save %/ SO.
We want this league to be ran as a democracy and not dictatorship, so every change will be put to a vote....we want all 16 manager to vote on all subjects.(active players) It goes without saying that not editing lines, or generally tacking part in league discusions will be a mangers way of letting us know he no longer wants to be part of our league. Even so he shall not be thrown out by one commish, such descision will be put to the board of commishioners, as I said before we want to have three or four.
Trades will be passed through by the commishioners, this with the type of managers we have should be of no issue. Open spots in your roster will filled by the F/A pool, but will not be abused by streaming players in order to gain extra stats. There will be no official cap on player moves so we will be trusting in each managers integrety to up hold all of our wishes.
Please note that we promis to continue to change where it is needed. That we are selling competition and with your help we shall give that.
