Commissioner Corner Message Board
they moved it from the individual matchup pages to the upper part of the page where the links like, Hockey 14, League, My Team, etc....are.....so basically nobody is bothering with it anymore because of that.
I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but last night's stats don't seem to have been tallied up in our matchup totals. Is there anything we can do to push the change, or alert Yahoo? I've got some nervous managers wondering why their goal totals are low!
I agree with dan. stop trying to run someone else's team. live with the settings and stop being so controlling!
I don't know if your league is a roto league, in which case there might be a games limit at each position (C, LW, RW). If there is a games limit then when teams who have been running extra forwards start running out of games at each position the only choice they'll have will be to drop forwards and add D-men because they'll have plenty of unused D games left. My hunch is that your league is a head-to-head league and what you're observing is a common strategy used in those types of leagues and nothing can be done. Good luck!
There's not a setting, unless you want to completely eliminate the BN spots, and just roll with a small roster.
Teams are entitled to run their roster how they want. If they value a 10th forward more than a 4th defenseman, they should be allowed to do so.
Rosters key points, have some others not listed but highlights are:

Say you are running a league with the following position settings:
C, C, C, LW, LW, LW, RW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, G, G, IR
So ideally I thought this would enforce that a manager could only carry 9 forwards, 4, d-man, and 2 goalies (ignore IR for now).
However, what certain managers in my league have done is to actually carry a 10th forward (because they generate more points), and leave a d-spot empty.
Is there a setting that can stop that from happening? So that you always had to have 4 d-man on your roster? etc..
One a t a time
1/ First year leagues are not keeper leagues
2/ 2nd and following years when league is renewed the commish can administer keeper settings
3/ Commish can set or league can vote on several keeper settings ( do this now so managers keep best players and everyone understands what is coming next season)
a/ total number of keepers per team (3, 4, 5 , 6 , more or entire team (Dynasty)
b/ Positions of keepers ie. 1 C/1RW/1Lw/ 2D/1G or any other combinations you choose
You can also set various league rules up to keep rosters fresh each year (one that is cool is that each can not keep its first 3-4 draft pick from previous year)
c/ Trade-able draft picks for the next season (this you can set immediately under commish tools/edit league settings) Great feature near trade deadline
d/ Salary cap keeper league ( this always keeps team fresh as old skates get hung up & rookies get big raises pushing some teams above cap and others fall below.
There you go, hope that clears up some of your Q's. Feel free to ask more if you need.
Accidentally accepted??? You're not buying that really are you?
The reason asked is that it takes two steps, not one to accept a trade. 1/ accept trade 2/ prompt pops up " Are you sure you want to accept this trade it can be reversed" No way this happens. You have to accept it twice.
Sounds like someone has buyers remorse or second thoughts.
As commish I would have a tough time buying into the accident.
That being said you can not reverse trades. If you feel you need to place players back on their respective rosters you can do so 1/ Commish tools 2/ Edit rosters 3/ choose the team 4/ drop players and then add them
I would not do it mate, if you do you are setting yourself up for more "accidents"
As a Co Commish, is there a way to reverse a trade that was accidently accepted. Neither manager involved in the trade is a commish. Can I reverse that trade with out the trade being re proposed.
Just started Fantasy recently so I'm new to this. I started a custom league with some friends and had some questions about Keeper Leagues.
First off, is there a way to check if your league is a keeper league?
Is there a way to make your league a Keeper league if it is not already one?
How do keeper leagues work?
When do teams get to assign keeper status to players?
Just some additional info, under Commish tools in my league there is only League, Team and Draft Management options if that says anything?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
