Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
ha. Was just going to say you drafted O'Reilly too soon. Other than your first 5 picks I"m not a huge fan.
Initially my first reaction was nope but I got to thinking...maybe just maybe McDavid does have a very good first year and Halak is a good goalie. Anyways...opinions would be appreciated. Thanks
"stork"...most people hate hockey..this aint the nfl...you try finding more than 9 other people that want to play this #$%$!
roster kills it either way!!! Just saying!!!!!
He's ranked so low because of his injuries last year. I've been drafting Hall in the 3rd round this year as (when healthy!) he's a stud. Take advantage of Yahoo rankings. Another guy even more undervalued in Yahoo is Backstrom. Getting Hall in the 3rd and Backstrom in the 4th is a great tactic when drafting.
10 team, H2H, 7:3 skater to goalie stats, THIS ROSTER SHOULD STEAMROLL
F- Kevin Hayes
D- Dougie Hamilton
Util - Brayden Schenn
BN- Loui Erikkson
BN Marko Dano
BN- Seth Jones
BN- Jonas Hiller
Top team...top roster...TOP MANAGER
I don't watch hockey but play in my buddies hockey league. I made it into the playoffs but was out in the 1st round. I'm supposed to pick 2 keepers for the year.
The scoring system goes like this (G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHG, GWG, SOG & HIT)
The following is a list of my players to choose from....
Then 3 goalies ( Bishop, Hammond, Gibson)
Based on the rankings my guess would be Perry & Tarasenko. I know Perry was hurt last year and he was the 2nd pick in the draft last season but you guys probably have better knowledge than me and asking for some advice. Thanks
I'd take Landeskog as he'll have more SOGs, PIMs and HITs........Johansen will probably get more points but not by much and the dual C/RW is attractive but LW is tough to fill.
FLeury for the consistency (fantasy play that is)
I'm playing in a casual H2H league with friends. Scoring categories are: G, A, SHG, +/-, DEF, HIT and for goalies: W, SO, OTL, GA.
This seems weighted heavily towards goalies to me. My question is, after the first round of obvious choices, how early should I start taking goalies and defensemen? Or should I draft to fill in positions evenly? I assume that most of the owners will auto-draft.
Thanks for any advice!

Hard to put Eichel on sleeper list when the kid has not played yet lol, the kid is a beast he will be just as good if not better than McDavid being Buffalo doesnt have high impact goal scorers, he will be go to guy on that 2nd line
