I guess the only time he was immune to pain was when he was strapped into a race seat.
I have major arthritic pain and had it when still racing. I couldn't feel it when I was racing. I almost could be shot and not know it until the race was over.
I always figured Trickle to be tougher that succumb to pain in this way. He must have been refusing pain medications. If it was that bad, morphine could have taken care of it so he could live a tolerable life.
It's just a shame that he had to choose the way he went.

Seems as though he was suffering from some severe chest pain that the doctors couldn't determine the cause of. He told his brother last week that he didn't know how much longer he could put up with it.

I would have never guessed that he was capable of doing that. He was such a strong individual his entire life. It's totally out of character. He must have had something weighing heavily on him. And doing it in the cemetery that his niece is buried in is kind of weird too.
At any rate, we lost a true racing legend.

I'm pretty sure that it's an HTML problem. I see it, but others don't. I just logged onto it even. So, it's there for me. We'll go to work on it today sometime. We'll have it ready for the All Star race. In a crunch, we can always use the shout box. We shouldn't need to, though.
