Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
id go with jack, he has been the best player of the 3 over the last month or so, not sure if deron williams returning to form could impact his value, id stay away from calderon, and schroder has some pretty decent upside
12- team standard 9 cat, can keep up too 7 players, its an auction format keeper though, where you get 200 dollars per year to draft players, and each player you keep is 5 bucks plus what he was drafted for this season, currently have a punt fg% team
serge ibaka- 49$... so serge would be 55 dollars to keep for next year
tyreke evans-1$...evans would be 6$ for next year
chris paul- 73
Im definitly going to keep nerlens and oladipo, also thinking about korver and kemba, maybe tyreke...those 5 guys would cost me about 72, and then i could get 2 more guys to keep...which guys should i keep in your opinion? and about how much would it cost me? cause i want to be also able to grab a star player...probably 50-60 dollars and some trade bait as well, and then just sleepers and high upside guys after that
I need one more PG for the rest of the season, and these are the three best on the market. Our playoffs start next week and I'm going to have a bye, so I don't need to worry about anything until two weeks from now. So who would you take?
trying to figure out a way to round out my roster. 10 team h2h. I figure I could use another 3 pt shooter. I picked up gilchrist and don't really need the rebounds but he's been playing well and as good as any one on waivers. Smart and Rondo are the two guys really not giving me stats. Smart gets steals though and a 3 every so often. Rondo is there for assists but he's really doing nothing and not having a guy who can hit a 3 there hurts. What would you do with my team? Looking at Canaan, Gerald Henderson, Bargnani, Jeremy Lin are probably the best free agents. Shved is out there too.. Shroder. Not much else. Mclemore..
If that's the case and you're needing the points then the swap may make sense with Kyrie being the point producer in the trade...however Wall is somewhat mediocre in points and hasn't had a huge spurt of them so I'd think on weighing out Davis' huge 30-40 ppg compared to Kyrie's 20-28 and Wall's 15-20...keep in mind that Cav players have HORRIBLE playoff schedules so Kyrie may not be worth as much as he seems.
Thanks for the input. I was willing to give up a stellar PG and downgrade for purely an assist producer in Rondo in exchange for increased popcorn in blocks, treys and steals. I'm punting FT% anyways with owning Howard and Jordan so adding Faried and Rondo wasn't a problem at all. After looking in hindsight I'm glad I did it...Faried is paying off as well as Jones, Rondo is about where I expected his production to be, and Redick is lighting it up with Crawford out!
It is a points league. No keeper. I am currently in first place but there is another team that made #$%$ trades with the last place team to stack his team and already beat me with the lineup i have now. I think if i add Kyrie and Wall I could run away with the league
Teague over Rondo
Harris over Jones (although it's VERY close IMO)
Redick over Snell by a lot
Faried over Frye by a lot
So it kind of depends on what you need and what you can afford to give up. I'd say the trade was fair-ish, so if it helps you then you did the right thing.
I'm a big Celtics fan and I like Olynyk but I don't think I'd do this move unless trading the PG eligibility for PF/C eligibility is THAT important.
If Olynyk had more traditional big man stats it would be different. But he has struggled with consistency in FG% so you can't really rely on him to shoot around the 50% mark every game like traditional bigs. He also doesn't block a whole lot of shots, and isn't a very aggresive rebounder since he's not very physical on defense and hangs out on the 3 point line a lot on offense. I think he honestly has a prety close skill set to Clarkson, with Clarkson getting more assits so I'd probably keep him unless you need that extra PF/C eligibility.
But I could be wrong and Olynyk could come out and shoot 75% from the field and get double digit reboudns with a block per game down the stretch lol. Who knows, I just don't see that happening.
keeper league? Dynasty league? H-2-H? Roto? Points league?1 year re-draft league? 10 teamer? 12 teamer? 14 teamer? 16 teamer +? Are you at op contender? Are you completely out of the playoff race? Do you have good depth at PF/C and typical big man stats? Do you really need depth at PG?
So many factors go into this.
I'd do it...a top 50-60 player when healthy and popcorns aplenty. I own him and stashed him for the past 2 weeks.
Could you answer mine, "GIANT Trade?" below?
should I drop Clarkson for Olynyk? I am in 1st place now....
Here is my roster:
12 H2H 9 cat
PG: Teague, Trey Burke, Clarkson
SG: Irving, George Hill, Kevin Martin
SF: Harden, Giannia Ant, Danny Green
PF: West, Millsap, Draymond Green
C: Jonas, Vucevic
Thanks yeah I think need him to replace Sully & Nurkic who I recently lost. Still have a decent core of bigs but Bass could help for sure.
look at who you will be going up against in the playoffs, if you think you will need rebounds then go for it, george is an easy drop in non keeper leagues
