Commissioner Corner Message Board
I am not the commish in my leagues so I'm not sure of the answer to this but can someone tell me what the option is that would keep people from being able to make waiver claims on the fly between the start of the 1st game of a given week and the end of the Monday night game? In the $ league I'm in people who are available to watch the games on Sunday or at least monitor them live have a huge advantage over people who work or have another commitment during game times. By the time those people find out about an injury or other incident affecting players they have no chance at putting in a claim for a play because they have already been picked up by another team. Isn't there a setting that allows people to put in a waiver claim request anytime but doesn't process them until Monday night or early Tuesday morning based on waiver priority??
First off this is a 4 sport league and you will have to remain competitive and spend equal amounts of time in all 4 sports.
It is a Hometown Dynasty, meaning we keep all our players and you pick a hometown and in all 4 sports (NBA, MLB, NFL, and NHL).
This is a fresh league. Just starting with football.
You will than have to have a certain amount of players from that franchise on your team at all times.
Football - 6
Hockey - 5
Basketball - 2
Baseball - 6
Before the main draft in all 4 sports you will be allowed to claim players from your franchise pre-draft first:
Baseball - 3
Football - 3
Hockey - 2
Basketball - 1
Notes from sports:
Football – has a true offensive UTIL slot in that a 2nd QB can go in it. WR/RB stats adjusted to compensate. Has IDP 8 starting slots and D players score almost as high as offensive players.
Baseball – will have normal cats plus walks and holds. Usual rosters also with 2 UTIL and 3 OF (not LF RF CF).
Hockey – will have normal cats plus a few more added, like hits, FWs, blocks, plus added goalie cats. Rosters will be 3 C LW RW 5 D 2 Goalie
Basketball – normal categories, normal rosters
Other rules available if interested.
All sports will have a deep bench.
No farm system but has NA players in baseball and hockey.

True, but my point is that with only 4 bench spots you'll have to drop starters to cover their bye weeks. For example, suppose don't want to drop your QB1, RB1, WR1, and TE, so you put back-ups for those positions on your bench. Then if any week that you have two RBs or two WRs on byes you'll have to drop either an RB2 or WR2 (good players!) or leave a spot empty. Also, if you like your defense you won't be able to keep them unless you play an empty DEF on their bye week.
This guy is right.
If you do it at a sports bar they will most likely give you $50 free food and a big draft board with stickers.
I take the board home and enter it there so i can focus on my draft and my cheat sheet instead of putting in other peoples players.
I guess connecting your computer to a large screen tv and entering as you go would work as well
but the screen for entering an offline draft is not very eye or draft party friendly.
Ditto. You can't do what you want to do.
Each player would need to have their own browser, not browser session, in order for this to work. And off-hand, I don't know of 14 browsers that are compatible with Yahoo!

When your team is on their bye week we will be picking up one of the teams that were not drafted. (This is so we don't get a zero for that week and this will also keep the league fair and competitive.)
All you have to do is let me know what team you want for your bye week when it comes and I will put all the players on your team ASAP. I will be doing all of the drops and adds to ensure fair play and sportsmanship.
*** BYE WEEK TIEBREAKERS (for choosing teams on waiver list)
When there are multiple NFL teams [in our league] that have the same bye week: the tiebreaker will be based on the best record then the most points.
The question was simply about missed field goals and whether or not a blocked kick counts as a missed field goal.
We all know that a blocked kick is scored as a blocked kick... but that wasn't the question

You get 5 points for a pass deflection, but only 4 points for an interception.
pretty good formula
